Every subnera release for macOS, newest first: what changed in the menu bar app, the headless agent and the fleet hub. Download subnera
1.0.11
Removed “Update When Idle”: the official Train at Home app already installs its own updates, so subnera no longer restarts it to apply them. The menu item and the matching fleet hub switch and alert are gone.
Removed the warning about the official app’s own auto-update, and subnera no longer reads the official app’s preferences file. The official version and any downloaded update are still shown.
From 1.0.7, choose “Update to subnera 1.0.11…” in the menu, or run subnera-agent update.
1.0.10
Fleet hub: subnera now reports which forward passes got their backward pass (confirmed work) and which never did (unsent work), so the work chart can tell them apart.
A miner that keeps computing while none of its work reaches the network is now reported to the hub as stalled instead of working, and triggers the new “unsent work” alert.
From 1.0.7, choose “Update to subnera 1.0.10…” in the menu, or run subnera-agent update.
1.0.9
New “Check for Updates…” menu item: checks for a newer version right away instead of waiting for the daily check, and offers to install it.
The menu now shows the version of subnera you are running, just above “Quit subnera”.
From 1.0.7, choose “Update to subnera 1.0.9…” in the menu, or run subnera-agent update.
1.0.8
The app and the CLI agent are now signed with an Apple Developer ID and notarized by Apple: macOS opens them without the “unidentified developer” warning.
From this version on, updates install only when they are signed by the same developer, on top of the signed release manifest and checksum.
From 1.0.7, choose “Update to subnera 1.0.8…” in the menu, or run subnera-agent update.
1.0.7
Updates install from the app: choose “Update to subnera X…” in the menu and subnera downloads the new version, checks its signature and checksum, replaces itself and restarts. Turn on “Install subnera Updates Automatically” to skip the click (off by default).
The CLI agent updates itself with subnera-agent update; subnera-agent update --auto on lets the agent install new versions on its own (off by default).
From 1.0.6 or earlier, install 1.0.7 once from the site; later versions install from the app or the CLI.
1.0.6
New states instead of “Unrecognised state”: “No network” when the IOTA API cannot be reached, “Stalled” when the next layer is unreachable, and “Layer N · waiting” for a miner assigned to a layer that has no work yet.
The hub shows these states too: “No network” counts as needing attention and triggers the miner alert, “Stalled” counts towards the stuck alert.
1.0.5
Signed releases: the app, the CLI agent and the installer now check the release signature before trusting an update.
The This Mac card no longer cuts off the registration step: it shows a short status (Attesting, Confirmed, Assigned) with the details on a separate row.
Sturdier hub reporting (backoff with jitter, bounded responses) and lower background activity.
1.0.4
Clearer warning: when the official app’s own “Update automatically” setting is on, subnera now says to turn it off in the official app, since that setting restarts it mid-work.
1.0.3
If this Mac is already linked by subnera-agent, the menu bar app now shows that link read-only and does not enrol or report a second time.
1.0.2
Fixed: ⌘V, ⌘C, ⌘X and ⌘A now work in the Remote Dashboard Settings window.
1.0.1
Update when idle is now on by default: the official app restarts to install its update only while it is idle, queued or in error, never during work. You can turn it off in Options.
1.0.0
First public release: the macOS menu bar app, downloadable as a DMG.
The headless subnera-agent for Macs without a screen, with a one-line install from the hub.
A daily update notice that links here; nothing is installed automatically.
