The website

subnera.com has no analytics, no advertising and no third-party trackers. Your language and theme choice are kept in a small first-party cookie so the site remembers them; it holds no personal data.

Like any web host, our hosting provider (Vercel) processes technical request data such as your IP address to serve and protect the site.

The newsletter

If you subscribe we use your email address only to send you the subnera newsletter (release notes and Train at Home tips, a few emails a year). Nothing is stored until you click the confirmation link we email you; an unconfirmed address is never saved.

Addresses are kept with our email provider, Resend, until you unsubscribe. Every email has an unsubscribe link, or write to contact@subnera.com and we delete your address.

The app and the hub

The subnera menu bar app reads local files and makes one anonymous request a day to check for a newer version, which you can turn off. The online data lookup, bandwidth probe and the fleet hub are opt-in. The guides on this site list exactly what each one sends. Your password and private key never leave your Mac.
